Emily has been passionate about swimming from a young age and she especially loved spending time underwater. Growing up in a swimming family, with her dad a head coach in the United Kingdom and her sister also involved in the sport, swimming quickly became central to her life. Family holidays were often spent almost entirely in the pool, with her mum joking that Emily wouldn’t even get out to eat.

At just 12 years old, Emily began volunteering at her local swim club, assisting teachers poolside. This experience inspired her to complete her swim teacher training and sparked her love of helping others feel confident and comfortable in the water. She continued teaching throughout university, working at private swim schools while balancing her own swimming, competing at the national level and representing her university team in Bath, UK. Her passion for teaching also influenced her path into classroom teaching, where she continues to work with children every day.

Alongside her teaching career, Emily is currently training for a triathlon and brings energy, dedication, and a lifelong love of swimming to every lesson. She specialises in stroke development and has experience with young children up to adults. For Emily, there is nothing more rewarding than helping swimmers of all ages refine their technique, build confidence, and fall in love with the water.
