Fiona has always enjoyed swimming from a young age, competing in her primary school swim team and then through to high school. Originally from Kenya, she first completed her Kenyan Lifesaving Federation water safety course enabling her to come to Dubai in 2013.

In 2017 Fiona went back to her passion of swimming and completed her American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Certification and has been teaching Learn to Swim classes ever since. Fiona has a firm but fun approach always making the end of the lesson memorable with fun educational activities. She brings her water safety approach in to her lessons always with a watchful eye on the class. Fiona being a mum herself she brings her mum voice when needed and knows how to mix fun into each sessions while still keeping the kids focused and learning. She is a firm but fun coach and is always one of the kids favorites.

• 2022 – STA International Lifesaving Course for Swimming Teachers
• 2022 – Baby Swim, Swim Dynamics Instructor Course
• 2023 – Child Safeguarding in an Aquatic Environment

• Fiona enjoys Rugby playing regularly in Dubai
• A life long learner – she is currently studying Korean
• Performing Arts – Fiona was in the Theatre!
