The STA Award for Safety Award for Teachers qualification is aimed at swimming teachers of all disciplines, aquatic instructors and poolside helpers to provide additional lifesaving cover during structured sessions. It enables the holder to initiate the Emergency Action Plan, respond to an emergency and support the casualty to prevent the situation from worsening until further assistance arrives.

PREREQUISITES

Age 14+

Swim 25 meters unaided

Must be able to dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool
