Does your child know what to do if they fall into the pool? Children of the Water Self Rescue is a lifesaving skill taught to children from age 9 months to 6 years over a 10 day one on one intensive course in the water. It teaches your child to roll over from a life-threatening face down position, to independently floating face up and breathing, without panic and swim to safety OR to remain in that position until help arrives. Click here to view videos of what you can expect your child to learn. Cost 3,500 AED per child.
Does your 2-4 year old need some help gaining confidence in the water and submerging? Have they had a negative experience hindering their ability to start group swimming lessons? Maybe they have just started FS1 and you want to make sure they are comfortable in swim class? Our Toddler Water Confidence Program is a tailored one-on-one approach designed around your child’s specific needs. These lessons follow a child lead approach, with a specialist instructor working with you as a family. The aim at the end of this course if for the child to overcome their fears and be able to join a group lesson. Minimum bookings 4 x 15 minute one-on-one lessons twice a week.
After completing the 10 day course, your child will be able to float independently on their back, this is the first step to swimming independently. We recommend continuing with group swimming or maintenance self rescue lessons.
Do NOT use any armbands or any other float devices that are attached to the body after the course! This will take away the confidence that they have just learnt and bring them back to depending on floaties, which means being unsafe.
The classes are designed with a younger child’s attention span in mind. They are one on one so they are more focused and personalized than a group class.
Every child and situation is different. We work with every family individually and at the child’s pace to ensure they truly feel comfortable in the water and confident to start group classes.
