Rahma’s career in aquatics began after studying insurance, when a friend suggested she try lifeguarding. Growing up on the island of Mombasa she was drawn to a career that allowed her to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. After completing her lifeguard training, Rahma spent two years working as a lifeguard in Qatar.

Realising how much she enjoyed working in the water, Rahma went on to complete her Learn to Swim qualification and discovered a passion for teaching. She particularly enjoys working with younger swimmers and helping children develop their skills and confidence.

Rahma loves seeing swimmers progress and takes pride in creating a positive environment where every child can learn new skills, build confidence and feel safe and happy in the water.

• 2019 Swim England Level 2 Swim Instructor
