Akimaly affectionately known as AK has been in Dubai since 2012. He grew up in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan where there is not a lot of opportunity to swim so it was upon moving to Dubai where his passion for the water really developed. He loves participating in running events, aquathons and helped organized and joined the world’s largest swim lesson at Wild Wadi. AK started coaching in 2015 and enjoys interacting with different people and helping grow their confidence in the water. He likes to see other people learning to enjoy the water the way he has since moving to Dubai. He speaks fluently Kyrgyz, Russian, Kazakh, English and is currently learning Arabic.
